Race 3 21-06-09 MTB Duathlon Mt. Clear
Hi All
Perfect conditions for racing on Sunday saw a field of eight turn up at the rear of Mount Clear secondary college in Olympic Ave, and one out the front, off Recreation Rd; the eight raced, the one missed out.
The first run of just over 1km. was close while members got their bearings; from then on the field spread out, although Rob Smart and Chris Whitty kept each other in view.
The Technical course kept everyone on the alert and was a great challenge enjoyed by all. It was however just what Charles Read likes as was evident by the smile on his face and his fantastic bike time.
New-comer Sean Clark used the second lap to find the correct course but still had a good work-out.
Our next event will be in two weeks; 5th. July, Invermay recreation reserve, we hope to see another turn-up.
