Hello everyone at Ballarat Tri Club. Hope everyone has had a great holiday and break. This is the January edition of the monthly news.
To start off the year we saw race 3 of the 2xu triathlon series in Melbourne, where Lousie Wood came 2nd in her category and Adam 2nd in junior elite. On the same day was Pier to Pub in Lorne where Andrew Wood and Liv Marr did the 1.2k swim. Great job!
Then a few weeks later was the Echuca Moama multisport weekend. Both Chase Tuddenham and Josh Dew won their category and Josh came 7th overall. Super effort especially for a bigger event!
Also shout out to Jonas for participating in 2 of the 5k foam fest events! Also our superstar up in Queensland Oscar Wootton came 2nd in the Burleigh swim/run. Awesome work!
Ballarat Triathlon Club was also nominated for the City of Ballarat’s community event of the year award, where unfortunately we did not win the award but are very proud to have been nominated for the Ballarat Duathlon last year.
Events to look out for: upcoming we hope to see some Ballarat Tri representatives in the Ironman 70.3 Geelong and the next few 2xu races. Good luck to anyone competing in those or any other events.
Also look out for race 2 of the Lake Esmond triathlon/duathlon series on the 1st of February. We are looking forward to holding the club event and hope everyone has fun.
If anyone is competing in an event during the month of February feel free to send through your results or that you are competing to Caroline Conway so we can feature more events and people on the monthly news.
