ADAM’S MONTHLY RECAP: 2026 JULY NEWS

Hello BTC community!

Been a while due to slightly less events but we are back with the July edition of the monthly news!

Recently the club held the annual AGM night- where Club Champions for Lake Esmond events and new committee roles were announced. Massive congratulations to:

• Hamish Murrihy, Club Male Triathlon Champion

• Lousie Wood, Club Female Triathlon Champion (now 12 years running)

• Adam Conway, Club Juniour Triathlon Champion

• Ross Clark, Club Male Duathlon Champion

• Molly Voss, Club Female Sovereign Triathlon Champion

Well done to all our champions, but also to everyone else who competed in the Lake Esmond series.

2026-2027 Club Committee roles:

• President, Caroline Conway

• Vice President, Molly Voss

• Events Manager, Molly Voss

• Secretary, Louise Wood

• Treasurer, Andrew Wood but we are looking for replacement after his 8 year commitment and overcoming distance to fulfil this role

  
  

Some recent events this year have included the Calder Park duathlon, Altona Duathlon and various XC/running races. Shoutout to Ross Clark for coming first in the Calder Park duathlon in his AG and Logan Leonard with a top ten finish (8th) in the elite male field.

In Altona Darryl Brown was second in AG and Logan Leonard 5th overall! Well done to all who competed in either of the first two races of the Vic duathlon series!

Some other results include Lousie Wood’s 6th placing in the open female field at the Barwon Heads Half Marathon, and also winning the Athletics Ballarat Wal Brown open Female. Andrew Wood won the recent YCW 10km at Vic park for the 60+ in just over 46 minutes! Logan Leonard and myself both running in the U17 XC state championship (6k).

Recently Darryl Brown was selected to compete in the upcoming World standard distance duathlon championships in Abu Dhabi. (November)- Good luck Darryl!

Darcy Williams has recently competed at Asian cup races Lianyungang and Taizhou, coming 7th and 8th! Darcy also made his World cup Debut in Edmonton coming 42nd- and followed up the next week coming 7th at supertri Toronto. Well done Darcy!!!
