ADAM’S MONTHLY RECAP: 2026 APRIL NEWS

Monthly News- April edition!

Hello BTC! As the domestic triathlon season wraps up- it looks like there will be less events so these recaps may come out less often until next triathlon season.

Great to see many club members both competing and volunteering on such a great weekend for Ballarat at the Ballarat Marathon. In the half marathon Molly Voss, Mark Urquhart, Bailey Tuddenham, Josh Dew, Patrick Quigley, Olivia Marr, Nick McKee and Lousie Wood all competed and Chase Tuddenham (5th AG) and Darryl Brown (7th AG) had top 10 performances! Awesome job everyone!

In the 10k Lesley West came 2nd in her category and 5th for the women!!! Jude Channon, Logan Leonard, Patrick Conway and myself also had a run- with it being a close race between my Dad and I! In the 5k Josh Dew finished in 3rd overall! And in addition to the mile did 3 events!

A massive thank you to all the volunteers on behalf of Ballarat Tri Club throughout the weekend- Ross, Dale, Jacob, Nick, Bella and Alysaa.

For Elite results- The Australian Elite Sprint distance championship Darcy Williams came 7th and Oscar Wootton 6th in the whole country- with only 1 second separating the two! Only 1 week later was the Oceania super sprint championship- with 1 day of heats and a second day of finals. Darcy came away 9th overall and 6th in U23- making the national A final. Oscar also made the A final and finished 7th overall and 4th in U23! Mind-blowing stuff from these two.

Keep an eye out for the winter duathlon series- both BTC’s races and the Vic series. That’s all from me. Go BTC!
